I learned to capture beauty as an underwater photographer.
Patience and timing are everything when there is only one chance to capture the moment. My subjects do not follow direction, and there are no second takes. I position myself carefully, breathe slowly, and wait — anticipating the exact instant when everything aligns.
I also capture beauty in dancers.
Through dance photography, I’ve come to value exactness. Dancers move with discipline and control — each line intentional, each transition deliberate. Capturing them has trained me to wait for the precise moment when technique and movement reach their peak.
